Rep Power: 0 | | | Cardio has gotten harder I've lost about 25 pounds so far, but now it seems like cardio (specifically running) has gotten much harder. I feel much more winded. How does this make sense at all?? |

Rep Power: 0 | | how often do you run? and how far? do you stretch enough? are you taking in enough calories? if not, your atp production is probably too low to feed your body the energy it needs. |

Rep Power: 10 | | you get winded more?
When I first started running at 260lbs I ran 9.30 min miles.... after a few months progressed into 8 min miles for 3 miles... by the time I got to 175lbs I would be at a consistant 6.30 min mile sometimes better give or take how I feel that day.
you should be going faster if you are running everyday, if you are not eating the right amount of calories you are going to be getting winded easier if you are working harder and eating the same amount of calories as you were before.
What is your diet like? |

Rep Power: 0 | | Sorry, I should have clarified a tad better. = )
I guess what I meant to say was that previously, I used to jog nonstop, even after a HIIT session. I would go 1.5 miles HIIT, then jog 1.5 miles back.
But NOW, I would do HIIT for 1.5 miles, but CANNOT job back nonstop! I have to take breaks because I'm SOOOOO winded! My ONLY guess as to why this is happening is that initially, my HIIT sessions would consist of about 4-5 intervals. Now, they consist of 10 intervals, which strains my body more? I mean, going from 4-5 intervals to 10 intervals is a positive thing, but how come i can't jog the rest of the way back anymore? Currently, i'm forcing myself to jog back nonstop, even though it feels like my heart is going to explode. |

Rep Power: 5 | | Mmm , Thats interesting. I can't say I've noticed myself, but I do my HIIT last. I'm down 30 lbs since March.I am not able to run, because I have had a total knee replacement. I do 25-30 minutes circuit training on a weight machine, then get on a stair climber for 20 minutes do my HIIT intervals. I have noticed an improvement here in the last month. When I started, I did 30 seconds flat out, then 90 seconds recovery sets, now I can go flat out for 60 seconds and recovery , 120 seconds. (6 intervals down from 8, but longer hi-intensity).
