¿Water Weight?

Hi guys, I need some insight...

Basically, I've been dieting and exercising, and I went from 225 to 195.

Usually, I would weigh in at 196 at night and in the morning's, I would weigh about 191.

RECENTLY, at night, the scale reads around 202, and in the mornings, I weigh in at around 195. I'm assuming that I've gained about 5 pounds...(Been eating full meals) HOWEVER, after I go running, my weight drops back to 191... Is this water weight?!?!?!

So instead of weighing around 191~196, I clock in at around 191~202. I'm so confused... Did I actually gain more weight? Did my bodies ability to store water increase?!?! I thought my diet/exercise regime was going well...

it sounds like water weight.however if you want comments that could provide deeper insight, you should post you diet plan and exercise regime.your body could be dehydrated.when you are low on water, your body will do everything it can to store it.its similar to skipping breakfast:skip it and your body will slow your metabolism because it doesnt have anything to burn.i hope this helps and kudos on the 30 pound loss.weigh in the morning and dont be like me and weigh at night everyday.

Thanks for your thoughts Brianistist. So would weighing myself in the mornings give a more "accurate" read of how much I should weight? I'm not used to this sudden fluctuation.. = \

My diet plan USED to be eating about 2300 calories based on fitday.com, but now, i'm just winging it. As for the exercising, I lift weights and run 6 days a week. HIIT 3 days, and steady state jogging 3 days. 3 days of upper body, and 3 days of legs for weights (Need to clean up my routines)

So basically, it's either because I'm dehydrated, or because I haven't been following up with fitday, and loggin in my meals... Anyways, thanks a bunch Brianistist!

well im speaking on personal experience and research.also,i heard that insulin is like a fat storing hormone that is produced when your blood sugar is too high.the excess sugar is stored as fat in the liver.im not sure about it though so dont quote me on it.

A good idea would be to take measurements of your body instead of rely solely on weight readings. Weight readings can be inaccurate and vary greatly throughout the day- I'd focus more on measurements instead of weight.
