With 300 bucks you could buy a somewhat decent elliptical, go look at garage sales, too many people buy the equipment thinking theyll use it then just end up selling it for a steep discount. I got a good solid bench press thing for 10 bucks and they didnt want it at all, original price they wanted for it, 40 bucks, offered 10 and got it lol. with the gazelle it really doesnt look like any muscles are contracted enough to have an optimal workout.

I totally agree I would go with the elliptical if you can.I just bought mine (jan/28)and i love it. I got it on sale for 600$cnd(that's like 300$us lol )
but seriously the decision was a gym membership or this and when i added it up this made sense(for me anyhow) i lost almost 5'' of my legs since Jan/28

I'm not honestly expecting to get a lot stronger by going with the gazelle... I'm wanting it for the cardio. I can use free weights, or possibly get a bowflex or something to enhance muscle growth...

Just hoping to find more info on the Gazzelle from people on here... As for now, I'm leaning towards getting the power plus or the Max.

Keep the thoughts coming gang....

I never said anything about strength, I would still not recommend the gazelle, elliptical, treadmill, stairstepper, bike, or any of those things would be a better choice in my opinion.

I know Sears sells the Gazelle (or someting that looks EXACTLY like it). i say put on some comfy clothes, go to the mall and honestly try is out for 15 minutes and see how you feel.

Warning: You might "feel" like a idiot working out in the mall, but they have all that stuff set up to test for a reason and it might save you $300. : )

I recently recieved a gazelle, (the cheap one) in February, and I like it. I've honestly used it alot more than I thought I would. The results aren't happening as fast as I like, but when it comes to losing weight when are the results fast?

I use my gazelle and I have to say that until now... now that my routine has really gone up a notch ..i used to love it...now i really have to push myself on it and really crank on the speed to even work up a sweat....I know i recommended it if you are just beginning exercise...but I am now going to look at a recumbant bike. Where do you live teddy? I would be happy to send it to you if you want to just pay the shipping for the gazelle..let me know

it's like an ellipical trainer, except you aren't taking steps, your basically just gliding back and forth ... it's a lot cheaper and does not need electricity ... i think it's garbage, myself.

I have a gazelle and I honestly love it for cardio. It's a great for beginners because it's easy to use and low impact. I've just started my new diet yesterday and I am using the gazelle for 20 minutes a day (which is about all I can handle right now), then when my body has hit the "fat burning zone" I continue my workout with push-ups, squats, lunges, and an abdominal exercise. It's way too early for me to see any results yet, but it feels like one heck of a work-out. I'd say that if you are interested in one, go for it.

Little Gazelle??

I bought the little gazelle or gazelle edge(not sure exactly) a couple years ago but haven't really used it much and was wondering if anyone has used it and gotten some good results on it. I have the one where you DON'T have resistance and everything. I know I'm burning calories using it because I'm moving and all but it doesn't seem to get my heart rate up or make me really sweat so I'm wondering if it's even worth using. Let me know if you know anything about it. TIA

If it provides no resistance, therefore not getting your heart rate up or making you sweat... you might as well be washing the dishes by hand.
