Cardio question

I take a day in between weight days, do I need to do the same on hard cardio days (well, hard for me anyway!) I like to about an hour on the bike or treadmill on non-weight days, can I do the same, or at least half on weight days?

You can do cardio day in and day out if you want to.

Great that you wait 2 days in between weights. That's important. It's ok to do cardio without 2 days rest inbetween. It is important to take some rest days though and take make sure you're eating enough calories to fuel all that activity. Hope that helps!

Listen to your body

Rest is a very important factor in fitness. Be sure to listen to your body - if instead of feeling better and more energetic you feel tired and unmotivated then try getting a little more quality rest.

Rest either by taking days off or by decreasing the intensity of a few workouts.

Soreness is a good thing with cardio. The 'no pain no gain' motto, which should not be applied to weights, can be used for cardio. You can keep your muscles in a continual state of breaking down and rebuilding with little harm done. The ultimate gain is in the cardiovascular system, not the muscles. Thats how its done in long distance running at least, and these athletes have the lowest body fat %'s of any.
