Motivation!

hi

so having read a few posts ive joined up to gain some advice....

im a slim guy, but lately its all started piling on my chest and stomach. So it looks awful - a belly and man boobs basically!

I was running frequently - two to three times a week, 5-8km each time, but ive lost all motivation for that as its just so unbelievably boring, even with my ipod.

I was a member of the gym but left for two reasons, firstly i got bored and noticed little improvement, and secondly, being a small guy with a belly i found the weights room intimidating due to all the body builder men who look at you as if to say what do you think your doing in here!

So after those two I decided just to do stuff at home, i.e dumbells, stomach crunches, press ups etc but not much improvement and wont help me loss the belly and tits.

My goals are to lose the flab, and build up in so much as to not be self concious when i take my shirt off in front of mates down the beach and feel im the least built there or of course when im getting lucky with a girl!

So I turn to you to ask what can i do to burn the flab and build up without going on boring runs or sticking out like a sore thumb in the gym!

I have a relatively good diet - 3 square meals, consisting of muesli for breakfast, a sandwich (home made) a bag of crisps and a banana for lunch and good evening meal like pasta, sausages & veg, jacket potato and veg etc for dinner.

Any help would be very welcome.

I would recommend altering your diet. You need quite a bit more fruits and veggies and less of the meats and starches. That sounds like whats adding the fat along with your change in fewer exercise routines. Recommend starting your day with more fruit. You may consider more aerobic activities as well. If running is boring, try changing it up. Bike one day, run another, roller blade another, do body exercises another, weights another, then run again, etc. Go to the gym, work out at home, at a park... change it up to keep it interesting for you. The more you do it, the more progress you'll make and the more fun you'll have doing it which will keep you motivated to keep doing it!

Good luck!
Mark
