Cardio at home.

How do you do it? I live in a 3 family house so people live down stair from me and I dont want to disturb them by jumping around everyday. I don't have any equitments like a treadmill or anything. And running outside is not an option because I want to work out before I go to school and it's usually dark that early in the morning. So my best bet would be to do cardio in my house. So how can I do this without disturbing my neighbors?

You don't have to jump around to do cardio. Anything that gets your heart rate up and keeps it up is going to be efficient cardio and there are all kinds of bodyweight exercises you can do at home that will do that. Squats, lunges, pushups, chinups, all those things will get your heart rate going. Or pick up some DVDs or check out some videos on hulu.com ... there are things you can do that aren't "jumping around" and won't disturb your neighbors, but will still get you moving around.

Another Option

Another option that is effective for fat loss, and won't take you a long time to do (4 minutes in fact), is to give tabata workouts a try. If you haven't heard of tabata, do a google search for it and you'll see it's not just something I made up, and you'll see that it's backed by science.

A quick explanation: you perform 8 intervals of composed of 20 seconds high intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest.

So, a tabata workout may look something like this:

20 seconds - Bodyweight squats
10 seconds - Rest
20 seconds - Pushups
10 seconds - Rest
20 seconds - Bodyweight squats
10 seconds - Rest
20 seconds - Pushups
10 seconds - Rest
20 seconds - Kettlebell or dumbbell swings
10 seconds - Rest
20 seconds - Dumbbell thrusters
10 seconds - Rest
20 seconds - Kettlebell or dumbbell swings
10 seconds - Rest
20 seconds - Dumbbell thrusters
10 seconds - Rest

That's it. It seems easy at first glance but it's not. By that last interval, you're heart rate will be sky high, and you're breathing will be taxed. This type of workout is highly effective for fat loss and doesn't require any jumping around at all.
