tips on gym gear and use

Hi,

I will be starting working out / exercising at the gym in the next month or so (waiting for the paperwork to go through), and I have a question.

When I walk into that gym I am going to have no idea of what to do or how many to do or how hard to do it. Sure, I could go in and figure it out, I could pay a trainer thousands of dollars, but neither of those options is really appealing, practical, or possible.

Does anyone know of a website (or a book or anything else, for that matter) that could help me out? You know, something that could give me an idea of what to do given my intentions and goals, and my height, weight, and arthritis.

Thank you anyone and everyone,

wjohnc
