Help me with running/jogging?

Ok.. so I'm already getting stamina back up pretty quick for running/jogging... but I've hit a problem...

The physical pain of my gut bouncing up and down is actually making me quit the jog before my stamina fails... Im big (my post in this section has pics in it).. nearly 400lbs.

I know with women, you guys at least get the "upper half" a little under control with sports bras... and I've seen similar products for guys to hold our guts with a little more security and stop the jarring every step, but I can't seem to find it.

Anyone know what I'm talking about - or what it's called even... or where to find it?

I wish!!!!

If you start out BIG - you end up BIG in that department!

I am at goal and wish that I could find a sports bra in my size. In the meantime I have a speed limit (or I would knock myself out!!!) and am counting off the days until I have my skin reduction surgery there...

Hopefully someone can help you find the answer to your question.

After digging around... it looks like a compression shirt is the best best...

Not super secure, but i've read some bigger guys saying that it at least makes it more bearable...

Take your time

Given your size you really need to take your time with whatever aerobic activity you begin. Jogging or running is not likely the first approach I would suggest to you because you may injure yourself and all the bouncing will be uncomfortable.

Instead think about walking and keeping your heart rate at about 50 to 55% until you've built up your stamina more. Subtract your age from 220 and the answer is the maximum heart rate per minute for you. Then multiply your maximum heart rate by the percentage (50%) to find out where you should be and that you should not exceed this number. You want to stay within the fat burning zone. As you progress and lose the weight, you can up the heart rate to 65% but I wouldn't suggest any higher.

The key is to stay in that fat burning zone to really maximize your weight loss. You'll need at least 30 minutes a day, but if you can do 45 to 60 minutes a day you'll see results sooner.

Of course you will need to eat well and include more fruit, vegetables and proteins. Definitely cut out the sugar and salt as much as you can since both are not helpful to you reaching your goal weight.

Drink 8 glasses of water a day to stay hydrated. Rest. Yes, get your sleep since people who don't get enough sleep tend to eat poorly and make bad food choices.

You'll see the difference in a short time if you stick with it. Keep walking every day since it's low impact and you won't injure yourself.

Good luck!
