Exclamation Is this enough to get me in shape?

I have always hated my stomach, I have been mistaken twice for a pregnant woman, and I'm only sixteen! I have a 31 inch waist above my navel, a 32 around my navel, and a 36 below my navel, and I want to get down to a 29 or 28, I'll probably never get a flat stomach because I have a scar that goes across my navel that causes a roll, which I've always had, and I'm fine with that, but I don't want to be mistaken for a pregnant girl.

I joined FitDay which is a journal that records what I eat and how much I eat, I'm supposed to eat around 2,100 calories a day for my Basal Metabolism, but I've never eaten that much, I'm just not that hungry, I eat on avarage 1,300 calories a day, more then 50% are from carbs.

I figured out that my walk to work there and back will burn 206 calories, and with my chores I'll burn 229. Also if I sleep 9 hours, I burn 680 calories, so thats 909 a day. So that burns 1 pound a week. Which is what was reccomended by FitDay. I know that the walking will help me lose the weight, but what can I do to loose inches around my waist?

Also, I am 5'4 and I weigh 140 lpds, I'm in a normal BMI, but its close to overweight, my goal is to loose 15 pounds so I'm in a more normal BMI.

hi there! sparkpeople.com is also a great website to count calories/water intake/fitness goals. it's a free site, just like fitday. You seem to be burning an adequate amount of calories per day, but if you want to, maybe step it up some more and do 40 mins of cardio 3 days a week as well?
