Rep Power: 0 | | I think I'm going to have to put my vote in for Turbo Jam... it's a bit on the expensive side, it was like $75 for the starter setup, but that included 5 different workouts on 2 DVDs (I think you can get them on VHS too)... the workouts go from a 10 minute starter workout, a 20 minute power workout (high cardio in a short period), a 40 minute core strength/ab workout and 2 40 minute "Cardio Parties".
I've considered picking up Carmen Electra's Striparobics too, but haven't really bothered since I've started going to the gym instead, which in general works better for me (especially since getting married, I don't want my husband to watch me jumping around like a fool!) |

Rep Power: 11 | | Okay so this weekend I bought a couple of pilates DVD's from Big Lots for 2.99 I figured the price was right. OH MY GOSH I did the buns and thighs workout last night. 20 minutes and oh baby did I feel the burn! It was great. The stretches were easy to do and at 20 minutes didn't take up that much time. I have a total body burn that I will try tonight! |

Rep Power: 0 | | i love any dance videos and i currently like videos by Prevention Fitness Systems. the dance ones are great and the regular cardio ones are good too. for strength training, i really like working out with Cathe Friedrich. she's motivating; just to look at her and know that she's serious about it and she looks strong & healthy..it helps. |

Rep Power: 14 | | | A problem I found.... I found a nice aerobics video I enjoyed and stuck to for years. However, I recently discovered that in itself was a problem. After awhile the body becomes accustomed to the same workouts, and I did the same video for years and years. And though it got easier and easier, I stopped seeing the results after the first little while. Now I am really seeing the benefit of using several different programs. The videos I use now are as follows: The Biggest Loser Workout - 6 week program - KILLER workout!!! Not for those just starting out!!! If you want to be challenged, this is for you. I also like the fact it is the actual contestants doing the workouts, so they are suffering and wheezing just as bad as I am. Core Secrets - Core exercises done on an exercise ball - Great workout with no impact. I really feel the difference in my core since doing this one and its a lot of fun. Realage.com You: On a diet workout videos - These are FREE videos available on the realage.com website. They are only 20 minutes long and are a pilates type exercise, but wow are they good! Great little morning "wake me up'er". They come in 3 different levels and again, are 100% free. Easy Aerobics - Greg Smithey (buns of steel guy) A very good low impact and easy routine to get you started. I have done it for years, but now I modify and turn down the TV volume and add my own music. Chinese Tai-Chi - A very relaxing and simple workout using the 24 basic Chi-Gong Tai-Chi forms.
I think the most important thing for me is that I mix it up. Right now I am doing the 6 week, 6 day per week Biggest Loser workout but when that is done I will switch to the core secrets and taichi, alternating daily. I think this will not only keep the routines interesting, but will solve my little problem of getting accutsomed to the same movements and routines day after day. I am looking forward to finding a taibo video soon as I now feel strong enough and confident enough to give it a try.

Rep Power: 12 | | I recommend the Winsor Pilates circle series. I bought those from an infomercial because I kept seeing the infomercial over and over again and would resist the urge to buy. Finally, I decided to buy them and they were fantastic. Doing pilates in conjunction with cardio and weight training should definitely do the trick.
I bought the circle series. It came with the circle and circle series workout, and has separate dvd's for abs, buns and thighs, arms and back. As well as an advanced circle series dvd and a 15 minute cardio dvd.
Like Turbo Jam, it was a bit expensive (70 odd dollars?) but I've actually stuck with it.
I've been looking into doing yoga too so I might try out the Yoga Booty Ballet dvd. It sounds very interesting! |

Rep Power: 8 | | Another vote for Turbo Jam. I LOVE it! It's so much fun and Chalene is such a great instructor.
I used to use WATP but it became old and boring. I even bought a new WATP dvd but it just didn't excite me. I'm a turbo jammer |

I'm a turbo jammer | A friend told me about Turbo Jam and I'd like to try it but I can't find it anywhere online that sells only one or two dvds..I don't have a lot of money for the whole DVDs that she has made. I also looked it up on amazon.com but currently none. Do you think these DVDs should be in a store or? |

Rep Power: 12 | | I really like the hotpants workout, it's a dance video, with some guy who used to work with kylie. It's different sections, so it goes by pretty quickly because each section seems short. It promises you'll lose a stone in six weeks, and has a video at the start of a girl who lost a lot of weight and inches doing it. I've been doing it for a week, and i feel like it's working a little bit.
I've heard a lot about the yogabootyballet thing and think it sounds pretty good (i always wanted to be a ballet dancer :P, think my mum should have sent me when i was four and fairylike :P )
Does anyone know if it's any good? The hotpants one is good for fitness but i'd like to increase my flexibiilty. |

Rep Power: 12 | | | I've just bought the dirty dancing video, although afterwards i read revies which were terrible and the vicky entwistle one which i've heard is really amazing. And although she's annoying she really has lost masses of weight. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
