First things first, you are NOT going nowhere. You've lost 15 freakin pounds!!! Keep it up. As far as nutrition is concerned, you should aim to eat 5-6 small meals a day. In other words, eat every 3-4 hours. Each plate should have a scoop of veggies or fruit and a lean protein serving the size of a deck of cards(about 3-4 ounces). Also, remember that low carb diets are going the way of the stone age, or at least they should in my honest opinion.
Not only do they lead to kidney and liver damage due to the stress the body must undergo in order break down proteins for energy, they also are nutritionally deficient as well as high in saturated fat which leads to heart disease and various cancers. In fact, many think that carbohydrates should account for about 50% of one's caloric intake, with protein accounting for about 30% and fats only 20% or so. One thing is for sure, carbs are vital for long term health. However, they need to come from unrefined grains, fruits and vegetables. So, stay away from white bread and other processed foods in order to eat right. Bread and pasta should definitely NOT be feared.
Now, there are numerous great sources of lean protein, such as chicken, lean cuts of beef, fish, and bison. Also, fats should come almost solely from unsaturated sources like omega-3 oils like those found in coldwater fish like salmon, or monounsaturated cooking oils like olive oil. Thes help reduce the risk of heart disease, moisturize your skin, and keep your joints moving smoothly too. Hopefully, this info will help. PM me what your meals look like and maybe i could help out further.
