Ummm, that does sound good!! I'm going to have to try that. As for looking crazy doing the steps...heck, I didn't know ANYBODY looked right doing those moves except the makers of those videos. LOL I figure the stupider you feel, the closer you are to doing it right...I don't know, just my little philosophy. LOL
And the scales....I don't own one, I'd weigh myself EVERYDAY and stress out if I buy one. I typically get weighed in every month at Curves but I'm going to weigh in at the nurse's station when I go back to work next Wednesday.
Hello, need some input....I am down to loosing the last 10 lbs which is becoming VERY hard. I have been doing the treadmill up until I've stopped loosing, and just bought some workout videos. Does anyone recommend them or are they just a waste of money...i'm trying to change up my workout routine a little.....
Work Out Video's definately worked for me. I chose Billy Blanks Total Body Fatblaster and Cardio Fatblaster. They really whipped me into shape, but it is high impact aerobics and there are all different kinds of work out video's available. Try collagevideo.com. They list all sorts of workout video's and how they're broken up (ie warm up duration, aerobics duration and cool down as an example) It really helped me in choosing the kind of workout I was looking for. Good Luck!
I was watching a repeat of Melissa Rivers' The Craze on Fit TV yesterday and this guy did his month challenge with Billy Blanks' Boot Camp. Booooy, that thing was tough... but it worked for him. It's 55 minutes. Heck, I figured doing anything that strenous for 55 minutes everyday HAD to work. It took him a while to work up to completing the entire thing it was so intense. I don't know if it was just so tough for him because it had been 1-2 years since he'd worked out or not, but the fact that it was 55 minutes wiped me out just thinking about it!
Wow....sounds tiring. I'm going to workout again today (sunday) b/c tomorrow I have to go weigh in. Since it's like 200 degrees right now outside, I'll have to do something indorrs.
I'm on the LA weight loss program and they go strickly by food and not exercise, so hopefully my efforts will pay off..
who's your favorite video leader? what videos are your favorites?
i really love cathe friedrich, but i can't finish her cardio workout sometimes. i can definitely love tae bo at times and i love any dance videos. not the foo foo dance videos, but the ones that will really make you sweat if you're goin' all out.
I started a thread about the same thing a few weeks back.
I have been using the Ministry Of Sound. "Pump It Up" workout DVD and I love it. Dance music is definately my sort of music and I find it fun to excercise to these songs. The workout is dancy but pushes you and works up a sweat. I would definately recommend it if you're after something that is hard work.
i really love exercise videos that have a lot of dancing, but some of them are kind of foofy foofy. can anyone recommend some killer dance videos that will kinda kill ya..just a bit but are super fun! i'm looking for any ideas, so let me know what ya got.
I don't know of any but I'll be keeping my eye on this thread b/c I'd like some as well. I'm going to buy a bellying dancing workout video. I've been wanting to take a class but my local Y doesn't offer it, like some others in the area do. Soooo... I'm going to try to do it at home. I'll let you know when I get it. It's supposed to be a GREAT workout AND a lot of fun...at least I'm thinking so regarding the latter.
Let me know what you get and how you like it, HappyDaye! I need to start looking for one. I'm going to do the Striptease Aerobics first but belly dancing would be a blast.
Y'all know what? I totally forgot about the Allstar workouts on FitTV. If you have the station on your local cable network check it out, it is so worth it. They have 3 dance workouts, one is bellydancing, one is Afro-Latin and the other is Bhangharia ( I know that's mispelled but I can't remember how to spell it correctly).
I've done the first two and LOVED them but had forgotten. I just watched some of the third one on the website. I'm going to record them all on my DVR so that I can do them whenever I'd like. I forgot I had already recorded the bellydance and the Bangharia ( or however you spell it.) They are high energy and fun. Here's the link so you can get a look at some of each one, they don't show the entire workout, just some highlights. Each one is an hour long but it so doesn't feel like it because its so much fun. The Bangharia one is supposed to burn 500 cals in that one hour...and I believe it! Hope you all enjoy them!

Those look fun! I don't have television so I will have to see if I can find them elsewhere...Thanks!
