Does anyone know of any good, upbeat, rhythmic step aerobic videos? I'm getting really bored with the machines. and I don't think i'm ready for a class because I hate when people watch me from the upper floor.

do you have "on demand" on your cable tv? mine has many exercise videos to choose from in the fitness category. there is pilates, sculpting, cardio, yoga, and a whole bunch of other stuff to choose from.
I am wondering what kind of workout videos you guys use. I am wanting something that works the core hard. I find it frustrating to find one that i would like because there are so many different kinds and they all work different areas. Tae Bo, Pilates, Yoga, abs, lower body, upper body... and the options never end! Ugh! I think i get easily bored, and find some super upbeat people to be annoying to watch (like denise austin) Would definately rather destroy the TV than endure another session with her. haha. Anyways, was just wondering if anyone has any really successful videos or what worked well. Also, do you have to do cardio along with the videos that work to strenghthen the core muscles?
I see alot of people like work out videos. FYI Netflix has all kinds of workout DVDs - bellydancing pilatesyoga tae bo and many more. The work out videos are listed under special interest. if you do not have a membership, I think you can have a membership for as little as $9.99 a month and you can get a great variety of work out videos (and movies). The DVDs are delivered in the mail, and you mail them back when you are done with them in the envelope they provide, and they send you more. no shipping cost, it is all included in the membership. this is also great for people w/ kids because you can get all kinds of kids movies as well. They even have a two week free trial period. I pay about $18 a month to have 3 movies out at once w/ unlimited movies for the month. I love it!
Hello, need some input....I am down to loosing the last 10 lbs which is becoming VERY hard. I have been doing the treadmill up until I've stopped loosing, and just bought some workout videos. Does anyone recommend them or are they just a waste of money...i'm trying to change up my workout routine a little.....
I know how you feel, the last five for me are tough to shake. I reallly want Turbo Jam but haven't gotten around to ordering yet. I bought Winsor Pilates a few years ago, but never stuck with it. I liked it, but if I'm going to do it at home I need something to get me moving around more. Every now and then I'll pull it out and do a little.
Usually I rely on the push from my "girls" down at Curves, but I must admit Turbo Jam has got me interested.
Me too....I've heard great things about TJ, and would love to have it, it sounds like a lot of fun...We are around the same weight....i'm with you girl!!! keep me posted on those last 5 lbs..
Ohappydaye,
How is your day going? I haven't cheated today, so I'm feeling pretty good. Just trying to change the routine to speed up the weight loss process...BTW, are you a smaller size? b/c it seems like i'm not a smaller size, but my clothes just fit better.....Curious!

Not so great, I slept late because I couldn't get to sleep last night and all I've eaten is two apples and drank a 20 oz bottle of water. I don't know what's wrong with me...I've gotta kick it in gear today.
As for my sizes, I haven't purchased any new clothes...although it is a mixed bag for me. I have quite a few that are obviously TOO big now and I've given some away. The ones I wear fit WAAY better, especially in the thigh area and that makes me MOST happy. I need to buy some more jeans though, almost all of mine are too big. ... They should let you exchange clothes for smaller sizes at a discounted rate!
I agree totally..I am a size 12, and just bought a new pair of jeans, size 10. i can get them on, but i can't wear them out yet. still too snug. ugggh!!! 15lbs gone and still can't squeeze into them....
sounds like you're doing fine...drinking plenty of water too, good job!!
