    Hello,

I usually lose fat when I eat around 2200 cal. I lose like 0.5 kg per week. What i'm wondering is that is it possible to still lose fat while eating only one fast food meal (Hardee's for instance) every week. I won't workout nor do cardio in that day, and obviously I will workout and do one cardio session on the other days. On this single cheat day, I'll just take a protein supplement (25 gram of protein) and drink water, and eat that one cheat meal.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

Yup. You could eat a fast food meal every day and still lose weight as long as your total calories is still 2200 or less. What suffers is getting proper nutrients that you would have gotten from a more well rounded meal.

The burritos are pretty small, aren't they? If that is all you had for breakfast, that's probably not even that bad (except on the wallet)

Fast food with fat isn't a problem, just don't eat it with sugar (ice cream,etc.). Avoid sugar, because it boosts insulin level in your body.

Wow, I'm shocked to see these responses. Its not about calories, it about what those calories comprise of! A 200 kcal snicker bar acts VERY different to the body than 200 kcals of chicken and broccoli. Remember food is comprised of chemical structures, those chemical structures turn in and off signals in the body as well as cascades of hormones. The snicker bar will increase insulin, insulin causes bellies to grown and weight loss to slow. The increase in insulin will cause estrogen to rise, the more estrogen in men the lower there testosterone and thyroid. Testosterone and thyroid are hormones that help assist with weight loss.

The chicken and broccoli (although not as sexy as the snickers bar) will leave you guilty free and with a metabolic advantage meaning, you are healthier eating it than what you were not eating it! There is a great book called In Defense of Foods, I encourage you to dive in!

Hope this help you weed out the garbage! Health is wealth and food is medicine, it DOES depend on what you choose!

Exactly what BMOgirmann mentioned. Ultimately, you need to transition from eating for taste to eating for fuel. Make eating for fuel a lifestyle, and you'll beat any fad diet/supplement out there.

It makes me disappointed to see the load of incorrect information from other posts here. We deserve the right information, especially when we're trying to hard to be healthy.

That is quite interesting. We have been doing the old weight watchers program. I am down nearly 30 pounds in 8 weeks. I have been happy with the program but after reading your post it seems like there could be more tweaking. A 6 piece nugget at wendys is 7 points and a grilled chicken sandwhich is 7 points. They are basically the same calories but I guess I should pick the grilled chicken based on that explanation.

I'm sorry but this is just so wrong. She wants to loose weight. Sure 300 calories of chips will be less nutritious then 300 calories of vegetables but who cares. She wants one day when she can just rest and eat whatever she wants. A day of less nutritious food will not destroy her weight loss program and it may not be as healthy but who cares. One day or poor nutrition will not destroy your weight loss and it will not hurt you. Go for it and don't worry.
