Have you ever felt defeated by a challenge in your life?

This is exactly how I felt after expending 5,000+ hours trying to solve a particularly persistent obesity issue over a 10 year period.

However, this completely changed (for the better) when I “gave up.”

But… I didn’t give up the desire to change.

I gave up my anxiety, self-pity, and need to be “right.”

In fact, I actually looked at my situation with a fresh dose of humor.

Happy to share the surprising 52 pounds of weight loss that occurred, and some of the rather unorthodox details :)

Congratulations on your success, Jeff. I found that losing weight is all about the state of mind and the philosophy employed as much as anything else. My weight loss came when I stopped going on to diets.
