Hello everyone! My name is Jewel and I am going to be posting my weight loss journey here. I am currently at 321 pounds and 5'6. I've struggled with my weight my entire life, but lately I've gained quite a bit of weight due to lack of motivation (depression), not wanting to go out to exercise (anxiety & depression) and the fact that I was taking care of my mother for the past few years while she was dealing with her extensive lung cancer. She is no longer here with me anymore, and I want to lose weight for her as well as me because I know she would want me to be healthy and happy. So yeah, this is me and if you have any questions feel free to ask me.. :)

I am so sorry for your loss Jewel. I know no words can sooth whatever you must felt. Regardless, I love your optimism now, the fact you still want to carry on and fight, yes, having a healthier lifestyle will bring a lot of change, I believe that.

I am dealing with depression and anxiety as well and I know how dreadful that is. But I strongly believe once I am done with my weight loss journey I can be better. You can do it too so yea, It's possible to lose weight and I am glad you decided to start. You can receive and give motivation to others here, best of luck.

Hi Jewel, it's very nice to have you here. I am so sorry for your loss, but your decision to take an action will make your mother proud too. I was dealing with depression and lack of motivation too, but now I am here! I believe we can help each other in this journey. Best of luck.
